Tumba, SwedenTumba is a suburb of Greater Stockholm, and the seat of Botkyrka Municipality, in Stockholm County, Sweden. The urban area stretches over two municipalities. The population as of 2000 is 34,101. The Swedish krona banknotes are printed at Tumba Bruk, in Tumba. The suburb also holds a High School (Tumbagymnasiet) with almost 1.000 students. The Alfa Laval company was founded in Tumba by Gustaf de Laval and remains present in the suburb. Tumba is very diversed with both high rise apartment buildings and single family houses. A large proportion of its inhabitants originate from other countries then Sweden, such as Turkey, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Poland, Finland, Chile, India, Lebanon and China.
