Tuhoe

Tuhoe comprise a Māori iwi (roughly: "tribe") of New Zealand. The word tuhoe in the Māori language means "people of the mist". Tuhoe traditional lands lie in the Bay of Plenty and Te Urewera areas. The iwi has a reputation for its strong adherence to Māori identity.
