Tughlaq Dynasty

The Tughlaq Dynasty started in 1321AD in Delhi when Ghazi Tughlaq assumed the throne under the title of Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq. His successor Mohommad bin Tughlaq(who was his son) cteated a very big empire but is notorious for his experiments which failed everytime. He shifted his capital from Delhi to Deogiri(later named Daulatabad) to have better administartion of the southern empire but the plan failed due to inadequate arrangements in Deogiri and the capital had to be shifted back again after two years. He also had the novel idea of introducing for the first time in India the Token Currency. However due to lack of proper minting facility the plan failed and there were soon heaps of forged coins in the royal garden. After Mohammad bin Tughlaq his cousin Feroz Shah Tughlaq assumed throne.he was a very benevolent ruler but was somewaht militarily weak. After feroze the Tughlaq dynasty started to fade out and there were no able cleaders. After Feroz Shah's death in 1388,the dynasty was almost over within 10 years.
