Tucumn Province

Tucumn is a province of Argentina, located in the northwest of the country. The capital is San Miguel de Tucumn, often short Tucumn. The province has a population of 1,338,523 (2001), and covers an area of 22,524 km². Neighboring provinces are from the north clockwise Salta, Santiago del Estero and Catamarca. It is nicknamed "El Jardn de la Republica" (The Republic's Garden) The province is divided in 17 departments (spanish departamentos) Department (Capital)
