Trond SolliedTrond Sollied (born 24 April, 1959) is a Norwegian Football coach and manager. Currently the head coach for Club Brugge. In his career as a football player in Norway he played for Mo I.L., Vlerenga, Rosenborg and Bod/Glimt. He has been a coach for Bod/Glimt and Rosenborg B.K.. He has 15 caps for Norway (1 goal). Coaching Career Sollied started as coach in 1992 combining playing and coaching at Bod/Glimt in the Norwegian 1st division. Sollied and Bod/Glimt won the league and went straight to second place in the top division the following season. He also lead Bod/Glimt to the 1993 cup-championship in Norway. Afther the 1993 season Sollied retired as player and went on as coach. With Sollied in charge, Bod/Glimt became third in the top-division in 1995, losing a cup final against Troms I.L. in 1996. Trond Sollied was dismissed from Bod/Glimt after dissensions with players and the club board. Sollied went on to Rosenborg B.K. where Sollied served as assistant coach under legendary coach Nils Arne Eggen in the 1997 season. Eggen retired and Sollied became coach at Rosenborg in 1998. With Trond Sollied in charge, Rosenborg - once again - won the league and qualified for the Champions-League. Afther the 1998 season Sollied went to Club Brugge, where Sollied still is the manager. With Trond Sollied, Club Brgge became Belgian league champions in 2003 and cup champions in 2002 and 2004. After Norwegian national coach Nils Johan Semb retired in 2003, Trond Sollied was mentioned as a replacement, but Sollied stated that he was only interested if he could combine the Norwegian national team with his current position as manager at Club Brugge. This was not acceptable for the Norwegian Football Association and ge Hareide, coach for Rosenborg B.K. became new manager for Norway. External Links Sollied, Trond Sollied, Trond
