Synopsis

I Know What You Diddily-Iddily Did

On a foggy day, in the countryside, when Marge drives, the Simpson car runs over Ned Flanders by accident. The Simpsons go to Flanders' funeral, Homer recalling how easy it was to kill him. The next day, Marge is told by someone that the person knows what she did, and a dark figure comes to terrorize the Simpsons. The family flees the house and looks for places to hide, until he finds out the mystery figure was Flanders, who mentions that at night, he turns into a werewolf. Flanders threatens to eat Homer in the end.

Desperately Xeeking Xena

When Bart and Lisa go trick-or-treating, at an inspection at Springfield Elementary, Chief Wiggum runs a portable X-ray machine to inspect what the children got when they were trick-or-treating. As Nelson's pillowcase of goodies is being inspected, it explodes, causing Bart and Lisa to have super powers and become the Superheroes of Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl. In their first episode, Lucy Lawless addresses her fans at a science-fiction convention. Arriving at the convention is the Comic Book Guy, dressed as the villain, "The Collector", who imprisons Lawless by sticking her to a magnet and putting her in a Mylar bag in a room of other celebrities imprisoned. Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl come to the rescue to stop the Collector's evil plot, but he ties them to a hook, until Lawless (still in the bag) kicks the Collector into Lucite. She rescues Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl and flies them home to safety.

Life's a Glitch, Then You Die

On December 31, 1999, Dick Clark celebrates his New Year's Rockin' Eve in Springfield instead of Times Square. Homer was the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's Y2K compliance officer, and he believes he fixed every computer at the plant—all except for one, that is—because his computer causes a series of failures. Things go haywire around town, and around the world, because a majority of things had a computer chip in them. When malfunctions happen all around the world, Bart finds a note in Krusty the Klown's shirt saying that he was selected for a mission to evacuate the Earth. There are two rockets: one heading to Mars, and another hurling for the Sun. Due to limits on board, Lisa, Marge, and Maggie go on to the one heading to Mars with many well-known celebrities, and Homer and Bart go on to the one heading for the Sun with many second-rate celebrities, including Tom Arnold, Pauly Shore, and Rosie O'Donnell. Unable to stand being with the doomed celebrities, Homer ejects himself and Bart into space, where they inflate like balloons and burst.

Trivia

The people who are on the ship sing "Clang, Clang, Clang" as they approach the Sun.
