I've been asked to tell you that the following show is very scary, with stuff that might give your kids nightmares. You see, there are some crybabies out there—religious types mostly—who might be offended. If you are one of them, I advise you to turn off your set now. (makes chicken noises) Chicken!" Continuing on, Marge asks Homer if he called everyone a chicken. He says no, insisting, "I swear on this Bible." Marge tells him it's really just a book of carpet samples, and Homer says, "Oooooh. Fuzzy." Set-up The Simpsons are having a Hallowe'en party, and they tell scary stories. Clown Without Pity Homer buys Bart a talking Krusty doll for his birthday. Although the doll is nice to Bart, it is mean to Homer once he pulls the string. The doll says he does not like Homer and threatens to kill him. Homer tries to stop the evil doll, putting it in a bag of dirty socks that are secured in a suitcase. He calmly goes home, little realizing that the doll has followed him home. They get in a fight until Marge calls a Krustyco repairman, who discovers someone accidentialy switched the doll's behavior to evil on a Good/Evil switch. The doll becomes nice to Homer and becomes his servant. King Homer In a spoof of King Kong, Marge joins Mr. Burns and Smithers on a sea expedition to Ape Island to see King Homer. Mr. Burns wants King Homer killed, but later, they put him on Broadway, making a show starring him. He continues to go on his rampage, caused by photographers taking pictures of him, until Marge suggests one way King Homer can stop being destructive: eat more vegetables and less people. In the end, King Homer and Marge marry, which is apparently on the same day Dick Cavett is born. Dial "Z" For Zombies Bart is asked by Mrs. Krabappel to find a book intended for people his age for a book report, and when he goes to the library, he stumbles upon a book of magic and spells, which he borrows. In the book, he tries to raise Lisa's cat, Snowball, but by accident, he casts the wrong spell, and zombies terrorize and later take over Springfield. Only the Simpsons can stop the zombies, and Bart consults the book again to use a spell to end the zombies' terror. Quotes - Ned Flanders: Hey, Simpson! I'm feeling a mite peckish. Mind if I chew your ear?
(Homer kills the Zombie Flanders.) Bart: Dad, you killed the Zombie Flanders! Homer: He was a zombie? - Homer: Do you sell toys?
House of Evil Owner: We sell forbidden objects from places men fear to tread. We also sell frozen yogurt, which I call Frogurt. Homer: Well, I need something for my son's birthday. Owner: Uh, perhaps this will please the gentleman. (points to a talking Krusty doll) Take this object. But beware! It carries a terrible curse. Homer: Oooh, that's bad. Owner: But it comes with a free Frogurt! Homer: That's good! Owner: The Frogurt is also cursed. Homer: That's bad. Owner: But you get your choice of topping. Homer: That's good. Owner: The toppings contain Potassium Benzoate. (Homer stares) That's bad.
