Tone Loc

Tone Loc (born Anthony Terrell Smith on March 3 1966) is an American hip hop artist turned actor, most well-known for his 1989 hit singles "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina". He is also known for his deep, gravelly, almost hoarse voice. Tone Loc was born in Los Angeles, California. "Tone Loc" comes from a nickname his friends gave him, "Antonio Loco". The name is often written with a macron, as: Tone Lōc. He was one of the first West Coast rappers. As an actor he has appeared in movies such as and Titan A.E., as well as in the reality television series Superstar USA.
