Theaudiencetheaudience were a British pop group of the late 1990s. They were founded by guitarist Billy Reeves, formerly of indie group Congregation. The group was fronted by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and achieved some success with their new wave-style records. They split after Reeves, the main songwriter, left in 1999.
