The Von Bondies

The Von Bondies are a garage rock/blues band from Detroit, Michigan. The band is best known in the mainstream media due to an incident involving White Stripes singer/guitarist Jack White punching Jason Stollsteimer, the band's lead singer, at a Detroit nightclub. Interestingly Jack White was something of a mentor for the young lead guitarist and singer, having taken him under his wing and produced the Von Bondies's debut album, *Lack of Communication. Though they have yet to hit the mainstream, the Von Bondies are well-known in "indie" music circles. Their song "C'Mon, C'Mon" was featured in the video games MVP Baseball 2004, Gretsky NHL 2005 and Burnout 3: Takedown, as well as in numerous television shows including the hit American drama Rescue Me.
