The Rebirth Of FusionThe Rebirth of Fusion is the 12th movie of the Anime Dragon Ball Z. This movie has not yet been translated into english by FUNimation. Outline This movie is set during the Great Saiyaman Saga. It shows a teenage demon Guardian of a evil soul purifying machine, but he is distracted with his heavy metal music. He accidently breaks the machine, releasing all the souls back into the world. Thus on Earth there are all kinds of dead people back to life (Dracula, Romeo and Juliet, and Hitler) as well as previous villains from Dragon Ball Z series and movies. Videl and Gohan are called to take care of them. Bulma and the others have gathered the Dragonballs, and summon Shenron. They wish for all the souls to return to the underworld, but Shenron informs them that he does not have power over the underworld, and something is wrong there. Goten defies his power but Trunks covers his mouth. In the Other World, Goku and Pikkon are fighting, but they are called to go to the Machine to try and fix it. When they arrive, they find that HFIL has been changed into a colourful weird world filled with bubbles, King Yemma has been imprisoned in a cage of ice, and the teenager has become a big ugly monster named Janemba. Pikkon tries to break the ice cage, and Goku starts fighting the monster. This monster has some strange powers with space and time, (such as creating a portal to punch through that leads right to Goku) and even as a Super Saiyan Goku is losing. He then raises to Super Saiyan 3, then can defeat the monster. On Earth, Hercule is defeating the Zombies. Frieza arrives and starts to taunt Gohan, but Gohan defeats him and all the other villains. Goten and Trunks are fighting Hitler's Army. Hitler is firing coloured missiles at them, which they are easily dodging. In the other world, Pikkon has discovered that screaming at the ice causes it to break. The monster which Goku thought was defeated has transformed into a smaller form, that is much more powerful. He makes a sword, and starts to easily beat Goku. He traps him in a Triangular cage, then cuts it down to just fit Goku. Now Vegeta comes to help Goku. He starts to fight Janemba, but he is no match for it. Once he is weak, Goku breaks out of the cage to try and help, but gets defeated. Goku and Vegeta run and hide in a cage of spikes. Goku knows they cannot win, so he suggests Fusion. Vegeta is skeptical, and tells him he would rather die than to fuse with a low class Saiyan. Goku calmly says out that Vegeta already is dead. But Goku persuades him to agree, then they try the Fusion Dance. Vegeta, however, fails to extend his forefinger at the last second, and the Failed Fusion Fat Gogeta (Veku) is created. This Fusion is weak and can do little but Fart in Janemba's face. Right when Janemba is about to destroy him, the Fusion runs out and Goku and Vegeta escape. Vegeta curses Goku, saying Fusion is useless, but Goku points out that it is Vegeta's fault. They try the Fusion Dance again. This time it is successful. Back on Earth, Goten and Trunks sense their dads fighting, and also Fuse to create Gotenks. Gotenks defeats Hitler's army with Ghost Kamikaze Attack. Gogeta is formed, and he defeats Janemba with a single blast. Then the teenage demon returns, and he is scared and runs away from Gogeta. HFIL is returned to normal and King Yemma is freed. Gogeta defuses, and Vegeta must go back. Goku and Pikkon return to the Great Kai Planet. All of the souls are returned to the machine, which is restored. On Earth, Gohan, Goten, Videl and Trunks are returning home. Goten and Trunks know who it was that saved them, but refuse to tell anyone. Meanwhile, Shenron remains summoned, and asks if anyone wishes to use the wish. Plot Holes As with most Dragon Ball Z movies, this movie has several plot holes. One is that during the time it is set, Vegeta is not dead, yet in the movie he is depicted with a halo. Also, Goku does not teach the boys theFusion Dance until the Majin Buu Saga. The movie also could not be set in the Majin Buu Saga, when both of these events have taken place, (Vegeta killed himself against Buu), because Gohan would be training with Rou Dai Kaishin, not on Earth, and Buu and Babidi are nowhere to be seen. The movie is probably meant to have Janemba as an altenate version of Buu, as they have several similarities (start in a fat childish form then change to very evil small form, very strange powers, seemingly invincibility).
