The Rapture is a post punk rock band with elements of acid house. The Rapture formed in 1998 and are currently based out of New York City. The Rapture gained widespread popularity after the release of the singles "House of Jealous Lovers" and "Sister Saviour" from their first full album, "Echoes". In 2004, The Rapture performed on the main stage of the Curiosa Festival that toured North America.
