The Muppets Take Manhattan

The Muppets Take Manhattan is one of a series of popular live-action feature films featuring Jim Henson's Muppets. It was released in 1984, and the Muppets bring a successful college show to New York City with the hopes of making it all the way to Broadway, but con-men, doubt and the realities of big city life throw a huge monkey wrench into their plans. This is notable also as the movie in which Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy finally tie the knot. Directed by Frank Oz, this is considered neither the Muppets' best or worst film, but it does feature extensive cameos by Louis Zorich, Art Carney, Dabney Coleman, Ed Koch, Gregory Hines, and Joan Rivers.
