The Blue Veil

The Blue Veil is a 1951 film which tells the story of a child torn between the competing claims of her birth mother versus his adoptive mother. It stars Jane Wyman, Charles Laughton, Joan Blondell, Richard Carlson, Agnes Moorehead, Audrey Totter, Cyril Cusack, Natalie Wood, Vivian Vance, Dan O'Herlihy and Harry Morgan. The movie was written by Franois Campaux and Norman Corwin. It was directed by Curtis Bernhardt. It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Jane Wyman) and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Joan Blondell).
