texas monthly

Texas Monthly is an American magazine founded in 1973. The magazine has a circulation of around 300,000 and strives to document "politics, the environment, industry, leisure, and education in contemporary Texas." Its annual Bum Steer Awards poke fun at odd Texas-related news items and personalities from the previous year. Anna Nicole Smith is a perennial "winner". One reader believes that the magazine is best after it has "aged" for a few months in a doctor's office or on a relative's coffee table due to the numerous perfume advertisements scattered throughout the publication. Texas Monthly is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
