Tannenberg Memorial

The Tannenberg memorial is a German memorial remembering the fallen soldiers from the Battle of Tannenberg in 1914. It was built in 1927. In 1935, Paul Hindenburg, German general and president, was buried there. The memorial was destroyed in 1945 by invading Soviet forces.
