According to the Pokdex, it is a young, lonely pokmon that "has only just left its nest". However, it is also gutsy (perhaps because of its ability) and will attack its foes regardless of their strength. It's cabaple of doing anything to satisfy its hunger. Name Origin The name Taillow is a combination of the words tail, referring to its forked tail, and swallow. Anime Appearance In the Pokmon Anime, Ash Ketchum has a Taillow that he caught in Petalburg Woods. It was the leader of a flock of Taillow that attacked them to steal their food. In the episode "Beginning Challenge! Sky Match: Pokringer!?!" (broadcasted in Japan as recently as June 10th, 2004 and therefore has not yet been translated into English) Ash's Taillow evolves into Swellow.
