Sylwester Kaliski

Sylwester Kaliski (b. December 12, 1925 in Toruń - September 16, 1978 in Warsaw, Poland) was a Polish engineer and general. Member of PAN. Kaliski was a specialist in the field of applied physics - he developed theory of continuous amplification of ultra and hiper-sounds in semiconductive crystals, obtained plasma temperature of tens of millions of degrees Kelvin using laser impulse.
