Suzuka, Mie

Suzuka (鈴鹿市; -shi) is a city located in Mie, Japan, about 50 miles south west of Nagoya. As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 189,902 and the density of 975.51 persons per km². The total area is 194.67 km². The city was founded on December 1, 1942.

Motor racing circuit

Suzuka Circuit has been the home of the Japanese Grand Prix since 1987. It is the only figure-of-eight circuit in the championship, and is very popular with the drivers.
