Geography Stuckey is located at 33°43'47" North, 79°30'46" West (33.729688, -79.512840). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²). 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 263 people, 100 households, and 72 families residing in the town. The population density is 111.6/km² (287.7/mi²). There are 113 housing units at an average density of 47.9/km² (123.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 17.11% White, 79.47% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.90% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.76% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races. 0.76% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 100 households out of which 34.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.0% are married couples living together, 18.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.0% are non-families. 27.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.63 and the average family size is 3.19. In the town the population is spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 24.7% from 25 to 44, 28.5% from 45 to 64, and 14.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 78.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 78.5 males. The median income for a household in the town is $26,250, and the median income for a family is $36,250. Males have a median income of $27,083 versus $20,469 for females.
