Steven TylerSteven Victor Tallarico (born March 26, 1948 of Italian parents in Yonkers, New York), better known as Steven Tyler, is the singer and co-songwriter in the band Aerosmith, formed in Boston, Massachusetts in the early 1970s. During his childhood and teenage years, he was sometimes made fun of for having a small head and huge lips. Started to play drums while a pre-teen, and was a drummer in 5 different bands before forming Aerosmith. He is known for his wide grin (a trait he shares with fellow rocker Mick Jagger) and for hanging scarves from his microphone stand during performances. In the band's early days, he was also known for having a bottle of Jack Daniel's on stage with him, but he no longer does this. He and the other band members hung out at Boston University and Commonwealth Ave for several summers. He dated a girl named Lisa Holcombe in those days and was really into health foods and running. On one such summer day he taught an 11 year old boy named John LaPlaca to play the harmonica to a rif from One Way Street. Now John LaPlaca is a Real Estate Broker/ Developer in the Boston area and still remembers those great summer days with Summerthing and chillin 'wit da band. His daughter, Liv Tyler, is a famous actress. His other daughter, Mia Tyler, is a plus-size model. Tyler and his guitar-playing Aerosmith colleague Joe Perry were often called the Toxic Twins, for their legendary intake of stimulants; they have now been clean for several years. Tyler and his wife announced in February 2005 they were separating due to personal problems, after 17 years of marriage. He also makes an appearance in the 2005 movie Be Cool. External link Tyler, Steven Tyler, Steven Cyrinda Foxe (also called April Cyrinda Fox) has passed being diagnosed with breast cancer in the 1990s. She had a successful lumpectomy and cosmetic correction, but then had a recurrence in about 2001. She died in hospital in 2003. She and Steven Tyler were not a couple at the time of her death, however, he was noted as being very supportive to her emotionally, and helpful financially.
