Steve Perry (Musician)

Steve Perry (born Stephen Ray Perry, January 22, 1949, in Hanford, California, USA) is a vocalist best known as the lead singer of the band Journey. He also released a successful solo album in 1984, Street Talk, with four singles reaching the Billboard singles charts; the most popular of these, still played often as of 2004, is "Oh Sherrie", written for his then-girlfriend Sherrie. He went on to release the less successful For The Love Of Strange Medicine in 1994 and a greatest hits collection including new tracks in 1998.
