State University Of New York At OneontaThe State University of New York at Oneonta is a four-year liberal arts college in Oneonta, New York, United States. Established in 1889 as a state normal school with the sole mission of training teachers, the College at Oneonta was a founding member of the State University of New York system in 1948. Today, the College offers many bachelor's degrees in the liberal arts and sciences, as well as bachelor's degrees in business, human ecology (family and consumer sciences), mass communication, meteorology, and water resources. A number of graduate degrees are also offered. The State University of New York at Oneonta was also used in the 1973 cult horror film "The Last House on Dead End Street" (aka The Fun House). The film was made by then SUNY Oneonta student Roger Michael Watkins and featured entirely local talent, including SUNY professor Paul M. Jensen. External link
