Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji

Bhagwan Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji (November 11, 1828?–December 5, 1963), was a mysic and yogi. His followers and devotees claim he was an avatar. His guru was Sri Devpuriji. The Guru of Dharmsamrat Paramhans Swami Madhavananda and Satguru of Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, 'Mahaprabhuji (as he is known by his followers) lived and worked in Bari Khatu, Nagaur district, Rajasthan, India, according to his biographer, Swami Madhavananda. Sri Mahaprabhuji was born on Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. The Ashram of Sri Mahaprabhuji in Bari Khatu on the edge of the Thar desert, also the place of his Mahasamadhi, became a place of pilgrimage after his death. He reportedly lived to the age of 135 years, although this may be a longevity myth.
