The album was an international success and spawned major radio hits with the singles "Rush, Rush", "Vibeology," "Promise of a New Day," "Will You Marry Me?" and "Blowing Kisses in the Wind." Music videos were cut for each of the singles, and all received heavy airplay on MTV. "Rush, Rush" featured a tribute to classic cinema that co-starred Keanu Reeves. "Blowing Kisses in the Wind" was choreographed with mid-air ballet, thanks to wires. Controversy erupted when Abdul chose to have images pinched in the video for "Promise of a New Day"; it was rumoured this was because she had put on weight. She later appeared in a boustier at the MTV Music Awards to sing "Vibeology" and proved she had, in fact, gained weight. It was later revealed she had an eating disorder.
