South Eastern And Chatham RailwayThe South Eastern and Chatham Railway (SECR) came about on January 1 1899, when the undertaking of the South Eastern Railway joined with that of the London, Chatham and Dover Railway under a Managing Committee composed of the directors of the two companies.
