Soupe Du Jour

Soupe du jour is a French phrase meaning "soup of the day". It is normally used to refer to the specific flavour of soup being served in a restaurant on a given day. On menus, in the English language, it is very often referred to as "soup du jour", instead of using the French spelling of "soupe".
