Soup Kitchen International

Soup Kitchen International is a well-known soup restaurant in New York City, New York, run by Al Yeganeh. The restaurant was the inspiration for the "Soup Nazi" in Seinfeld. The "rules" to buy soup at his restaurant are:
  • Pick the soup you want.
  • Have your money ready.
  • Move to the extreme left after ordering.
Supposedly, if these rules aren't followed, you are denied service, and sent to the back of the line. He invites the media to contact him for interview, but states that they must not mention the "N" word, not talk about his personal life, not have follow-up questions, and interviews will only be completed via e-mail, at his time preferences. Yeganeh is offering business people the chance to franchise the chain. The restaurant is located at 259 W. 55th St. in New York, New York.
