Sixth Grade

Sixth grade is a year of education in the United States and other countries six years after kindergarten (usually 11-12 years old.) Sometimes it is considered a part of elementary school, sometimes a part of middle school.
  • In the United States, in mathematics, students usually learn about division of fractions and decimals. Exponents are also generally introduced, and students learn about the properties of circles and measurement of angles in degrees.
