Silvertown Railway Station

Silvertown station is the penultimate station on the main branch of the North London Line, between Custom House station and North Woolwich railway station, in London. Also known as Silvertown and London City Airport, the station lies in Travelcard Zone 3. The station was opened June 19 1863, with two tracks and platforms. There is now only one track and platform, serving trains in both directions - on the opposite side to North Woolwich, also reduced to one active platform. It is likely that the station will close when the DLR is extended to London City Airport and Woolwich Arsenal.
