Secondary Education In France

A lyce is a school providing secondary education in the French educational system. Graduating from a lyce leads to the Baccalaurat degree. Famous lyces in Paris include: Lyce Henri IV, Lyce Louis-le-Grand and Lyce Saint-Louis. French students spend 3 years in Lyce : The first one is Seconde, the second one Premire (in English, First), and the last one Terminale. Lyces are divided between Lyce gnral, which leads towards more than 2 years of post-baccalaurat studies, the Lyce technologique, which leads towards short studies, and Lyce professionel, which leads directly towards professional life.
