Seattle Public Schools is the school district for the city of Seattle, Washington. It is the largest public school system in Washington, and the 44th largest in the United States, with 47,449 students in 2002. There are 62 elementary schools, 11 middle schools, 16 high schools, one K-12 school, and eight K-8 schools in the district. The high schools are:
