Schwarze Elster

Schwarze Elster is a 188 km long river in eastern Germany, in the states Saxony, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. Its source is in the Upper Lusatia region, near Bischofswerda. The Schwarze Elster flows through the cities Kamenz, Hoyerswerda, Senftenberg, Herzberg and Jessen. It flows into the river Elbe upstream from Wittenberg. There is also a river Weie Elster in eastern Germany.
