San Juan Province

San Juan is a province of Argentina, located in the west of the country. The capital is San Juan. The province has a population of 620,023 (2001), and covers an area of 89,651 km². Neighbouring provinces are, from the north clockwise, La Rioja, San Luis and Mendoza. To the west is Chile. The province is divided into 19 departments (in Spanish, departamentos).
