Salome

• Salom, the daughter of Herodias, unnamed in the New Testament, who, in around AD 30, at Herodias' bidding, asked for John the Baptist's head on a platter (see Matthew, Chapter 14). Named "Salom" or "Salome" according to Christian mythology.
