Srg Ssr Ide Suisse SRG SSR ide suisse is the business name of the "Swiss Broadcasting Corporation" -- in German: "Schweizerische Radio- und Fernsehgesellschaft" (SRG), in Romansh "Societad svizra da radio e televisiun", in Italian: "Societ svizzera di radiotelevisione" (SSR), in French: "Socit suisse de radiodiffusion et tlvision" (SSR). SRG SSR ide suisse is known in the English language as the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). SBC is the public broadcaster of Switzerland, and runs seven television stations and eighteen radio stations in Switzerland's four official languages(German, French, Italian, & Romansh), plus the international broadcaster Swiss Radio International. The company is paid by a mixture of a licence fee of CHF 450.35, advertising & sponsorship. It started in 1922.
