Sjs

In the fictional comic book setting of Judge Dredd, the SJS or Special Judicial Services is sometimes referred to as the Judges of the judges. They work as a sort of spy arm of the entirety of the justice system. Several references can be found in the book "Black Atlantic" where SJS Judge Vix accompanies Judge Dredd, two other judges and the soon to be late Dr. Hellerman. Out of the entire official (They were assisted by Gethsemane Bane) taskforce to retrieve the Warchild only SJS Judge Vix and Dredd survive. The SJS is dispised by other Judges due to their extreme methods. These include random searches, torture of Judges and generally unpleasent operations. In addtition it was the SJS that the mad Judge Cal controlled prior to his killing his way to the Chief Judge position. Most Judges figure if they could'nt spot that they can't be much good.
