S.u.s.a

The Association or union which represents students at the University of Stirling. Based in the Robbins Centre at Stirling campus, S.U.S.A provide entertainments and welfare services. Entertainments include a wide range of clubs and societies, as well as a pub/bar named Studio (the bar), and a club named Glow (the club). The closure of the Gannochy sports bar (announced March 2005) has created disquiet amongst many students. However, a lack of capital has meant the decision was taken to hand the building back to the University. Welfare approaches include Nightline (student service), a telephone service for students between 7pm and 7am, and A.S.C (Advice and Support Centre). The Association runs a unique website designed specifically for the needs of those involved and interested in University life. The Association was recently accredited with Best Bar None status.
