Royal Alexandra Hospital For Children

The Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, more commonly known as The Children's Hospital at Westmead or The New Children's Hospital, is a major hospital in Sydney, Australia, located on Hawkesbury Road in Westmead. It is a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney.

Name and relocation

It was originally located in Camperdown, but was relocated in the mid-1990s to better service the growing populations of western Sydney. This relocation is reflected in the two alternate names - with "The Children's Hospital at Westmead" used as the corporate name - however the official name of the hospital remains the "Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children".
