Rose Red

Rose Red (or Rose-Red) is a character in the fairy tale Snow-White and Rose-Red by the Brothers Grimm. Of the two title characters, Rose-Red is portrayed as the more adventurous of the two devoted sisters.
Rose Red is also the name of a fictional mansion in a teleplay by author Stephen King. Building on a theme in his novel The Shining, Rose Red is a mansion that develops a life-force independent of its builders, eventually being capable of capturing or absorbing the souls of others.
