Rongbuk Glacier

The Rongbuk Glacier is located in the Himalayas of southern Tibet. This glacier is used by climbing expeditions and trekking parties to reach Everest base camp on the north side of Mount Everest. From there, climbing expeditions try to summit Everest by the north ridge.
