Rondell White

Rondell White (born February 23, 1972) is an outfielder and designated hitter in Major League Baseball for the Detroit Tigers. His career batting average is .287 and his career slugging percentage is .471. White is a 1990 graduate of Jones High School in Gray, Georgia, where he played baseball and basketball. One of his high school teammates was Willie Greene. He was the Atlanta Journal- Constitution's Player of the Year in 1990 and was also was selected to the USA Today and Collegiate Baseball all-America squads that year. During his final four seasons with the Montreal Expos, he purchased 200 tickets for each Sunday home game for underprivileged children in the Montreal area.
