ronald reagan freeway

Named for former US president Ronald Reagan, the Ronald Reagan Freeway is a freeway running west to east through Ventura and Los Angeles counties in southern California. It travels from California State Highway 23 in Moorpark to its intersection with the Foothill Freeway in Lake View Terrace, crossing the Santa Susana Pass and the northern rim of the San Fernando Valley along its route. It is signed as California State Highway 118 along its entire length. It was originally named the Simi Valley Freeway. Communities along its route include:

The 2003 Southern California wildfires resulted in the closure of several portions of the Ronald Reagan Freeway, although the road itself escaped relatively unscathed.
