Roman Dirge

Roman Dirge (born on April 29 1972) is an artist and magician, and the creator of the Lenore comic-book series. Told by his art teachers that he would never make it as an artist due to his crude style, he ignored them anyway and eventually started drawing the comic about Lenore, the Cute Little Dead Girl for Xenophobe magazine. After a while trying to make it as a magician, during which he set himself on fire, he returned to comics with a full Lenore comic-book published by Slave Labor Graphics. He has also written books such as "Something At The Window Is Scratching", "The Monsters In My Tummy" and "The Cat With The REALLY Big Head", and a few episodes of Invader Zim, the cartoon series created by his friend Jhonen Vasquez. He and his wife Lisa eloped in Las Vegas. Dirge has over 75 tattoos.
