Rodolfo Biagi

Rodolfo Biagi (14 March 1906 - 24 September 1969) started his musical career by playing background music for silent movies, and this was where he was first discovered by a tango band leader. As a tango pianist, he played with several orchestras. He played for the orchestra of Juan D'Arienzo from 1935 to 1938, and is often partly credited for the development of D'Arienzos rhythmic style. He later formed his own orchestra, and the special rhytmic qualities of his music is easily recognisable.
