Robotics Institute

The Robotics Institute (RI) at Carnegie Mellon University was established in 1979. It is considered to be one of the foremost centers of robotics research. Professors at the institute often cite a statistic that the RI publishes one third as many papers at robotics conferences as the country of Japan.
