Robert GarciaRobert Garcia is a video game character in SNK Playmore's Art of Fighting and The King of Fighters series. He is a student of Kyokugenryu Karate. He first appeared as the deuteragonist (that means being next to Ryo Sakazaki in importance) in the original Art of Fighting game. He is one of the supporting characters in the King of Fighters series. According to his official biography, by the King of Fighters canon, Robert Garcia was born on December 25, 1971. His nationality is Italian. His blood type is AB. He stands at 180 cm (5' 9"). He weighs 85 kg (185 lbs). His hobby is collecting cars. His favorite foods are Yakisoba and Sushi. His favorite sports are motor sports. His treasured possession is his car collection. He dislikes pickled scallions, and his fighting style is Kyokugenryu Karate. He uses the Ryugeki (or Dragon) variation of Kyokugenryu Karate. Robert Garcia is the son of Alberto Garcia, a wealthy Italian businessman. He is an elite student of Takuma Sakazaki, the master of Kyokugenryu Karate. He is Takuma's finest Kyokugenryu disciple. The Garcia family has a tie with the Sakazaki family, and because of that, Alberto sent Robert to Takuma for training in discipline. Robert quickly befriended Takuma's children Ryo and Yuri. He respects Ryo as his best friend. He has a special relationship with Ryo's younger sister Yuri. Robert feels Yuri is something special, but Ryo is very protective of Yuri, keeps an eye on Robert, and does not want Robert to get too close to her. Robert is bothered when Takuma and Ryo interfere with his intentions to propose to Yuri. Robert Garcia grew up with Ryo and Yuri Sakazaki, and they all became the best of friends, until suddenly, the Yuri Sakazaki Incident began. Takuma Sakazaki was blackmailed by Geese Howard into working for him and then vanished, and Yuri Sakazaki vanished right afterwards. Ryo and Robert felt that some bad thing was behind all of that. Ryo and Robert separated to search for clues of Yuri's whereabouts. Since he knew she was her love interest, Robert was determined to rescue Yuri, but he could not tell both Ryo and Takuma due to fear of anger at his idea. He fought more criminals in Southtown in order to find Yuri than Ryo did. Robert and Ryo were informed that Mr. Big was the mastermind behind the Yuri Sakazaki Incident. Robert was the one who defeated Mr. Big, and he demanded Mr. Big to tell him Yuri's whereabouts. Mr. Big refused to answer and called for Mr. Karate. Robert was exhausted after a fight with Mr. Big, so he let Ryo fight Mr. Karate. Ryo was prepared to use Haoushikouken to finish off Mr. Karate, but then Yuri sneaked in and told Ryo not to harm him, as Mr. Karate was really Takuma Sakazaki. Robert Garcia benefits from his father's wealth and always wears expensive fancy clothes and drives expensive cars. He likes to impress Yuri Sakazaki with his clothes, cars, and his other presents, but Takuma and Ryo Sakazaki always keep a clear eye on him. In the 1994 King of Fighters tournament, Takuma invited Robert, alongside Ryo, to represent Kyokugenryu Karate, which has now introduced team battle mode. Robert received a sad notice that Yuri would not enter the tournament with them, much to Ryo's favor and Yuri's displeasure, but he accepted this arrangement anyway. After the first two King of Fighters tournaments, he visited Southtown to help a childhood friend save her brother Wyler, whose demonic power made him go berserk. After a brief trip to Southtown, USA, he returned to the Kyokugenryu Dojo, and he was informed that Takuma felt too old to fight in the King of Fighters tournament and that Takuma decided to hand his place over to Yuri, much to Ryo's opposition and Robert's favor, but Ryo would keep an eye on Robert. Ever since the moment Yuri joined the Kyokugenryu Team, Robert represented Kyokugenryu Karate the best he knew how. Robert gets excited and delighted when he sees Yuri fight, and gets more excited when Yuri wins the fight. However, Ryo is always behind Robert and forbids him to do anything smart.
