Richard Linklater

Richard Linklater (born July 30, 1960, in Houston, Texas, USA) is an American film director and writer. He is best known for his independent films, which feature characters having grand philosophical discussions. He also founded the Austin Film Society in 1985.

Filmography

His first full-length feature, It's Impossible to Learn to Plow by Reading Books, made its debut in DVD form in the Criterion Collection's 2-disc set of Slacker, on the second disc.
