Riau Islands

The Riau Islands (Kepulauan Riau (Kepri for short) or sometimes Riau Kepulauan in Bahasa Indonesia) are a province and a group of islands in Indonesia, located south of Singapore, off the eastern coast of Riau province on Sumatra island. They were split off as a separate province in July 2004. By size and population the most important Riau islands/archipelago are Bintan, Batam, Karimun, Anambas and Natuna.
