Regal Zonophone Records

Regal Zonophone Records was a British record label formed in 1932, through a merger of Regal Records and Zonophone Records. Originally Regal Zonophone handled the American releases from Okeh Records, Victor Records and Columbia Records. In the sixties artists like The Move, Procol Harum, Joe Cocker and T Rex joined the label. When these artists left the label lost it impetus and it was closed down by EMI Records, but was reopened at the end of the nineties.

Trivia

Regal Zonophone is one of the few record labels commemorated in a song, namely "Magdalene (My Regal Zonophone)" from the album Shine On Brightly by RZ artists Procol Harum.
